Where did the name Yojo Mobile come from?

The name Yojo comes from Herman Melville's Moby Dick. Yojo is the name of the wooden idol that Ishmael's bunkmate, Queequeg, prays to. We see the cell phone as a portable device that can answer many of your questions, not unlike Yojo answered Queequeg's questions.

Love your company, can I buy stock in it?

Sorry, not at the moment. We are a self-funded company and are likely to stay that way until at least next year.

Can we license MizPee (or other Yojo Mobile service) for our country?

At the moment we are looking for region-wide franchisees for Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. So, sorry, we would rather not license it for individual countries.

How do I create a Yojo Mobile Account?

  1. On the Yojo Mobile home page, click on "here" where it says "Not a Yojo user? Sign up here".
  2. Input your business data and read/agree to the terms of agreement. On the 2nd page input your business location and hours. If you have more than one location, click the "add more" button and add the additional locations there.
  3. Click "save" and you have created a Yojo Mobile Account.

How do I edit my Yojo Mobile Account information?

  1. Log onto Yojo Mobile.
  2. Click on the "your account" button.
  3. Edit your account information as needed.
  4. Click "save".

How do I change my Yojo Mobile Account password?

  1. Log onto Yojo Mobile.
  2. Click on the "your account" button.
  3. Click on the "change password" link.
  4. Type in your old password and your new one (twice).
  5. Click "save".

How do I add money to my Yojo Mobile Account?

  1. Click on the "your balance" button.
  2. Input the amount you would like to add to your account. (Minimum: $50).
  3. Click "pay now".
  4. Give your credit card or Paypal information.
  5. Save.

How do I know how much money I have left in my Yojo Mobile Account?

Yojo Promos


How do I create a Yojo Promo?

  1. Click on the "create promo" button.
  2. Input your promo "teaser". This is the one line eye-catcher that tells people what you are offering.
  3. Input the full promo text.
  4. Select the box if you would like to have customers call you, and input telephone number. (Do you select box if you only want walk-in customers.)
  5. Select when you want the promo shown, in terms of both time of day and day of the week.
  6. Indicate the promo expiration time/date.
  7. If you would like to limit the number of people who can click on the promo, put that number in the "number of clicks" box.
  8. Select where you want the promo shown in terms of publications/services and medium (WAP vs. Web). Also if you have more than one business location, indicate which locations you'd like to show the promo.
  9. Input how much you'd like to bid to have your promo shown. The higher the bid, the better the chance that your ad will be shown.
  10. Click activate if you'd like the ad to be shown right away.
  11. Click "finish".

How do I activate/de-activate a Yojo Promo?

  1. Click on "your promos" button.
  2. Click on the "Activate" or "Deactivate" button(s) of the ads you'd like to activate or de-activate.

How do I edit a Yojo Promo?

  2. Click on the "Edit" button.
  3. Edit the promo.
  4. Click "finish".

How do I delete a Yojo Promo?

  1. Click on "your promos" button.
  2. Click on the "delete" button.
  3. Click on "yes" to confirm that you'd like to delete the promo.

How do I know how many people were shown and have clicked on my promo?

  1. Click on "stats" button.
